Montana native and career Public Health Service official Dr. William L. Jellison acquired the Canyon Creek, Montana, schoolhouse building in 1965. It had been used from the 1910s to 1928 for entomological research, housing the Montana State Board of Entomology, which concentrated its attention on Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever.
